Recognizing its transformative potential, a significant majority of businesses \u2013 70% according to a Harvard Business Review Analytic Services Report \u2013 view <strong>AI implementation as crucial for their operations<\/strong>. This widespread recognition underscores the need for organizations to understand the key benefits of AI integration, while also addressing the concerns and barriers that hinder its widespread adoption.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 53px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. How important do you find implementing AI within e-commerce operations?<\/h2>\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" class=\"wp-image-22348\" style=\"width: 582px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4.png 800w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4-768x480.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/CVO-T\/pressreleases\/29580006\/harvard-business-review-analytic-services-report-70-of-survey-respondents-say-ai-is-mission-critical-for-e-commerce-success\/\">Harvard Business Review Analytic Services Report<\/a>, 70% of Survey Respondents believe implementing AI within e-commerce operations is very or extremely important.<\/p>\n\n<p>Another Harvard Business Review Analytic Services survey of 225 members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cio.com\/article\/3606559\/unlocking-the-path-to-strategic-advantage-with-ai-in-itsm.html\">Harvard Business Review audience<\/a>, who are involved in decision-making about how the IT department provides service for their organization, found that while 62% agree their organization understands the importance of using AI to be more competitive in the market.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 60px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Is your organization\u2019s IT department currently actively using AI to improve its processes and services?<\/h2>\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ibm.com\/2024-01-10-Data-Suggests-Growth-in-Enterprise-Adoption-of-AI-is-Due-to-Widespread-Deployment-by-Early-Adopters\">IBM Global Adoption Index<\/a> about 42% of enterprise-scale companies surveyed (&gt; 1,000 employees) report having actively deployed AI in their business.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" class=\"wp-image-22351\" style=\"width: 582px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6.png 800w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6-768x480.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Companies within the financial services industry are most likely to be using AI, with about half of IT professionals within that industry reporting their company has actively deployed AI.<\/p>\n\n<p>Findings of the survey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/CVO-T\/pressreleases\/29580006\/harvard-business-review-analytic-services-report-70-of-survey-respondents-say-ai-is-mission-critical-for-e-commerce-success\/\">Harvard Business Review Analytic Services Report<\/a> confirm the same results, where <strong>40% respondents say their organization has active use cases of AI<\/strong> (apart from gen AI) within e-commerce operations, while 31% say it has active gen AI use cases within e-commerce operations.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Here is an interesting point of view on <strong>regional differences<\/strong> brings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/quantumblack\/our-insights\/the-state-of-ai\">McKinsey Global Survey on AI<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n<p>When looking at different groups, those most aware of AI tend to be: Asians (40%), men (38%).<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/aston-web-banner-55.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22372\" style=\"width: 851px; height: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/aston-web-banner-55.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/aston-web-banner-55.png 800w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/aston-web-banner-55-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/www.aston.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/aston-web-banner-55-768x480.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Study <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/quantumblack\/our-insights\/the-state-of-ai-in-2023-generative-ais-breakout-year\">The state of AI in 2023: Generative AI\u2019s breakout year | McKinsey<\/a> uncover AI adoption rate in Europe in detail: Average Europe 32% (Italy 36%, Germany 32%, France 26%, Spain 28%, UK 37%).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 72px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. What are your concerns and the barriers to AI adoption?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Concerns about the use of AI seem to be very similar across studies. <strong>Data protection<\/strong> and <strong>Trust <\/strong>and <strong>Transparency <\/strong>are the most dominant concerns.
